Vermont Lake Monsters – Minor League’s Monsters

Vermont Lake Monsters – Minor League’s Monsters: The Vermont Lake Monsters are a professional baseball team from the state of Vermont in the United States of America and currently plays in the Stedler Division of the New York-Penn League of the Minor League Baseball. The Vermont Lake Monsters are the farm team of the Oakland Athletics and regularly get their players to play for the team. The Lake Monsters are holders of the affiliation with the Athletics in the Short Season A category. The birth of the team is traced back to 1978 when the team from Jamestown in New York was established as the Jamestown Expos, holding affiliation with the Montreal Expos. In 1994, the team moved to Vermont and came to be known as the Vermont Expos as the team still held the affiliation with the Montreal Expos, which would subsequently move to Washington to become the Nationals. The foundation year of the Vermont Lake Monsters is given as 1993, the year in which it was decided that they would relocate to Vermont. The team came to be known in its present avatar from 2006 but the association with the Athletics began only from the 2011 season. The team has won one League title and three Division championships.
