Archery is an ancient strategy, with the main purpose was use during battles but is still preferred today. There are several folks who are captivated by archery. Today archery is typically limited to the sporting arenas but there had been a point when it played an exceedingly critical role in the battleground.
There are countless stories about great archers in the traditional civilizations of Egypt, India, Greece and Persia. These archers are respected even today. Archery apparatus is composed of bows and arrows. Research has proven the bows were developed in either early Mesolithic age or late Paleolithic age. Earlier pines were used for making arrows but later different materials started to be used for the development of the arrows. The archery hardware should be correctly assembled and the material used should be of fine quality. If the bows aren't correct then the archer will face problems in mounting the arrow. The arrows should be such that it is simply mountable on the bows. If the arrows aren't correctly mounted then the archer won't be ready to correctly shoot the target. The bows usually used are : longbow, shortbow, flatbow, recurve bow, crossbow and compound bow. Longbow as the name says is long ; the length of the bow equals the peak of the user and in a few cases even surpasses the peak of the user. The limb of the Flatbow is broader and the cross-section is oblong in shape. Shortbow is shorter in length ; it is light weight and has a short range. It was essentially used for hunting purpose. In crossbow the limbs are mounted in a horizontal demeanour and not in a vertical demeanour.
