For the Mets not interested in the past


New York Mets want you to know that they have no interest in signing Pedro Martínez.
An ESPN report indicated that New Yorkers might go after the pitcher 38 years, but a team official denial by the newspaper New York Daily News.

The Dominican pitched the ninth from 2005 to 2008.Tallied 32-23 mark with 3.88 ERA.

The team apparently is more interested in enhancing their offense. Negotiations continue with catcher Bengie Molina, and with Jason Bay of the Boston Red Sox.

According to the Daily News, Bay wants the Mets offer him one more year to four-year contract on his desk. Meanwhile, Molina wants three years and not two.
